Khaz stood there, at the top of the falls, his black coat shining, golden eyes watching the water pound down, calm as usual. His black wings were folded, the very tips of them matching the calm golden eyes, and long legs supported the big brute. Although to call this wolf a brute is harsh, for he is nothing at all harsh. The lean male leaned over the falls some, just to look down. A Wolfy grin appeared, and the black male launched himself off where he had been standing, sailing through the air, and starting to fall, until, snap! His five foot wings spread out, catching the small spring breeze that brought the smell of anything that happens in spring.
The golden feathers at the tips of his wings glinted, and caught the sunlight easily. Just by tilting the tips of his feathers and using the wind, Khaz spiraled downwards, long legs outstretched to land, and trot to the pool of water. Paws lightly touched the ground and then starting moving, carrying the big male forward, and then stopping, wings partly folded. Khaz lowered his broad head to lap from the pool, catching his reflexion. Now, you must not think that this powerful brute is vain, for he isn't. Instead, Khaz looked at his golden eyes, and thought sadly of another wolf who had once shared the same eyes, just a different coat. The wolf pushed aside this thoughts, and thought of the pack that had readily adopted him, and of their alphaness today, and how he might, just might become a Beta. Khaz shook his head, and small smile spreading. He didn't necessarily want the power, but if it was to be, he would take the weight on his shoulders, or more of wings.
The black wolf turned, and looked around, wondering of there was anyone there, out here at Mortimer Falls, this spring day.
